My Wild Alaska Adventure

I can't begin to tell you what an amazing trip I had to Alaska.  I was able to spend 10 day's with my sister Glenda and we traveled to incredible places.  Our trip included stops in Chitna, McCarthy, Valdez, Seward, Aialik Bay, and our home base of Girdwood.  I was able to spend some time with my very good friend Cole, his girlfriend Ana, OE and the rest Glenda's truly wonderful friends.  Alaska is stunning, but the people there are what make it such a special place. Creg Crest Take II

My second attempt at the 10 mile Creg Crest trail was successful!  The views from the 11,189 foot ridge were stunning! Wild flowers were in full bloom and beautiful!  There are at least 10 lakes in this first picture! Unfortunately a fire is burning on the south-west side of the Grand Mesa, so the pictures don't do justice.  

I love this picture!

Black Ridge Trail - Colorado National Monument

Another great day on the Monument.  The Black Ridge Trail was original made in 1880 to move cattle between Glade Park and the growing town of Fruita.  Stunning views of the rock formations in the Monument and a few sightings of the collard lizard.

Grand Mesa

I attempted the Creg Crest Trail on the Grand Mesa... It didn't work. Still way to much snow! I'll try again in a few weeks!
